Eligible candidates for the Hall of Fame must have served in a branch of the Federal government and have made significant contributions to the Army Air Forces or Air Force C4I, cyberspace and/or air traffic services disciplines. Candidates must have concluded their Federal service at least 5 years prior to 1 January of the year nominated. Once nominated, candidates remain eligible for three years and will be considered for the Hall of Fame each year. After the three-year nomination period has lapsed, candidates will are removed from the nomination list and their nomination packages will be destroyed. Candidates can be reconsidered if subsequently nominated by an eligible nominator.
The Hall of Fame pays tribute to those who established traditions of excellence, made lasting contributions to military warfighting, and guided the Air Force toward a technological and information-enabled future. Nominators must consider the following factors: unique/unprecedented contributions to the cyberspace/C4I/air traffic services disciplines and capabilities they provide warfighters; a record of accomplishment well beyond the norm; and sustained excellence in leadership resulting in memorable legacies of performance.
Selection Process & Selection Board
No later than December 15, 2017 each year, President AFC4A, in coordination with the SAF/CIO-A6, solicits two active duty general officers or Senior Executive Service members in the cyberspace community and at least three Hall of Fame incumbents to serve as the Hall of Fame selection panel. The President AFC4A serves as the panel chairperson and invites the SAF/CIO-A6 to serve as co-chair.
