Guest Speaker - Brig Gen Terrence Adams, Military Deputy Director of Concepts & Strategy Air Force Futures, HQ Air Force

Brig. Gen. Terrence A. Adams is the Military Deputy Director of Concepts and Strategy Air Force Futures, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, the Pentagon, Arlington, Virginia. He assists with developing and synchronizing Air Force strategy and strategic planning efforts. He also executes Air Force wargaming in support of Air Force Chief of Staff Title 10 responsibilities and the Strategy, Planning, and Programming process. Additionally, Brig. Gen. Adams assesses alignment of planning, posture, programming and execution activities, decisions, and products with strategic guidance. He also facilitates strategic posture processes and Air Force equities. Brig. Gen. Adams was born in Tuskegee, Alabama, and enlisted in the Army as a private after high school. After serving in the Army for six years, he entered the Air Force through the Reserve Officer Training Corps at Alabama State University-Detachment 019 upon graduation from Auburn University in Montgomery, Alabama. He commanded six times at the squadron and group levels, three of these commands while deployed. Brig. Gen. Adams deployed to Seeb Air Base, Oman; Kirkuk AB, Iraq; Ali AB, Iraq; and Al Udeid AB, Qatar, in support of operations Southern Watch, Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom, New Dawn and Combined Joint Task Force Horn of Africa. He has held a variety of positions at squadron, group, wing, major command, air staff and joint levels. Prior to his current assignment, Brig. Gen. Adams was Commander, 628th Air Base Wing, Joint Base Charleston, South Carolina.
